About Artist:
Mansour Ghandriz was a pivotal figure in the development of modern art in Iran, born in 1936 in Kermanshah. His artistic journey was influenced by his studies at the College of Decorative Arts in Tehran, where he honed his distinctive style that merged traditional Persian elements with contemporary European techniques. Ghandriz's work is characterized by a unique use of color and form, which often reflects a critical response to the social issues of his time. His paintings and sculptures have been showcased in numerous exhibitions both in Iran and internationally, marking him as a significant contributor to the global art scene.

In 1960, Ghandriz furthered his studies in Paris, immersing himself in the vibrant European art community, which significantly influenced his artistic direction. Upon returning to Iran, he became an influential art educator, teaching at the College of Decorative Arts and inspiring a new generation of Iranian artists. Tragically, his life and career were cut short when he died in a car accident in 1966, at the age of 30. Despite his brief career, Ghandriz's legacy endures through his impactful works and the influence he had on his students and contemporaries. His contributions continue to be celebrated in retrospectives and collections that highlight the depth and breadth of his artistic vision.
